The Service I Offer to You

Life can be overwhelming, and sometimes it can feel like we're lost in the woods without a clear path forward. At times like these, it's important to know that you're not alone. Many people experience emotional difficulties that can make it hard to see a way out.

If you're struggling to manage your feelings or your life in general, seeing a counsellor can be a helpful step towards finding clarity and gaining a new perspective. As a counsellor, I believe that every person deserves a safe and confidential space to work through their problems and be heard.

Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or other emotional challenges, I am here to support you. Through counselling, we can work together to explore your thoughts and feelings, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and develop strategies for moving forward.

As a fully qualified member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), I am committed to working in an ethical and confidential manner. When you work with me, you can be confident that your needs are at the heart of my practice.

My goal is to help you find the real you and move forward in a positive way. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or other emotional challenges, I am here to support you. I won't judge or criticise you - instead, I will listen to you with empathy and work with you to discover new ways of dealing with your problems.

My approach to counselling is focused on you and your unique needs. I won't tell you what to do, but I will empower you to find your own way forward. Together, we can explore your thoughts and feelings, identify areas of strength and growth, and develop strategies to help you cope with whatever the future may bring.

If you're ready to take the first step towards a happier and healthier life, I encourage you to contact me today. Let's work together to help you overcome your challenges and find a sense of peace and fulfilment.

The Differences Between Counselling & Psychotherapy

It's common for people to confuse counselling and psychotherapy, but they have distinct differences. Counselling is a shorter-term process that supports individuals in their day-to-day lives and explores issues to some depth, including relationship challenges, self-esteem issues, and common mental health difficulties such as anxiety and depression. Psychotherapy, on the other hand, is a long-term process that involves deep emotional work and self-discovery with the therapist's close support. It aims to shift an individual's way of being, such as altering belief sets resulting from past neglect.

At Plymouth Counselling 123, I offer both counselling and psychotherapy and work with individuals on a short or long-term basis, depending on their needs. The therapist-client relationship is crucial in both counselling and psychotherapy, and I prioritize ensuring that clients get what they need from the therapeutic space. Whether you're unsure of what you need or have a clear idea, Plymouth Counselling 123 is here for you.
